Going to the 2008 EMS Expo

 

Intertek Industrial Corp. will be attending the 2008 EMS Expo and unvailing it's New PROTEK™ Passenger Awareness System for ambulances.

 

The system alerts the driver as to whether passengers in the rear of the ambulance are "seated" and whether or not they are "belted" in the restraint system as well as providing audio feedback reminding passengers to secure their seatbelt. Information can also be recorded for training or administrative purposes using a vehicle data recorder.
 
The PROTEK™ Advanced Restraint system for side-facing seats is a vehicle-mounted restraint system designed to be easy to use and comfortable. It also provides additional protection to EMT's when compared to conventional seatbelts or other advanced restraints. The system also allows for an extended reach envelope allowing greater mobility from a seated position compared to standard 2 point lap belts.
